Landscaping for Scarborough's Big Lots and Sloped Yards

Scarborough gives you something most of Toronto doesn’t, and that’s room. Lots run wide, driveways run long, and backyards keep going. The catch is the ground itself. Toward the Bluffs and along the ravine edges, plenty of that land sits on a slope, and a sloped backyard is space you look at instead of space you use. Rain drags the soil downhill a little more every year.

Retaining walls are the fix. A wall built with proper drainage holds the grade and turns a washed-out slope into flat, planted terraces. Most walls take a few days to a week, and some of our favorite reviews came from wall and pad projects. Once the ground holds still, the rest of the lot can earn its keep, with fresh sod across those big lawns and a patio where the yard finally sits level.
